Car Wheel




  1. Create a Tube
  2. No Width Segments
  3. Convert to editable Poly
  4. select edges and select ring
  5. hit connect; say we want two connected edges and pull them off to the far side of the tube.
  6. select an edge in between newly addeed conencted edges and select ring and do this for the other side
  7. right-click and convert to face
  8. extrude and local normal

  1. select all faces and select inset polygons to place a face in the center

3DS Max - Edit Borders > Cap

Select edges switch to border mode go to edit borders and select "cap" -edges selected -switched to border mode and the "cap" option under edit border fills the gap. Super important when edges are all layered differently, or, this is how the software is reading it. Cap basically fills holes and is the most reliable option when improving the topology of your object.
