Conform Compound Object: Place a path on a wavy surface

  •  Apply a noise modifier to plane surface to create wavy surface
  • Under Compount Obejcts, Select "Pick Wrap to Object"
  • Path is now wrapped on wavy surface

'To regain the thick surface of path

  • Thickness will lost after the conform. Use the face extrude modifer to regain the thickness of path
